Air-Fried Chicken Wings

Welcome back!

Today, we have another recipe for chicken wings, but this time, we're using the air-fry setting on our oven! This one is super easy to prepare, just throw the wings in the oven/air-fryer and cook! Of course, since we're using the air-fryer, we made these wings more like fried chicken wings, less like the ones we made with the Instant Pot. But this is a much healthier alternative to truly fried chicken wings because you don't bathe them in oil.

Air-Fried Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • Chicken wings
  • Salt and pepper
  • Some flour
  • Optional seasonings (Italian seasoning, thyme, garlic powder, paprika, etc.)

Directions:

  1. Mix the salt and pepper with the flour. If you want to have other seasonings, add them in too.
  2. Coat the chicken wings with a thin layer of the flour mixture.

  3. Airfry at 375°F for 15 minutes. You could also just bake it at 425°F for the same amount of time.

  4. Flip the wings over. You should also change the parchment paper to get rid of the juices.
  5. Put it back in the oven for 10 minutes.
Of course, these will go perfectly with whatever sauce you like, whether it's buffalo, or ranch, or whatever! We've also made some with Korean barbecue flavoring, some pictures below:

Served with some classic Korean sides

Whichever way you have it, these are sure to be tasty!

Fig Crème Fraîche Cake

Welcome back!  Today, we have a cake featuring an interesting fruit: the fig! Figs are typically eaten dried or in some processed form because they don't stay fresh for long, so making this dish out of fresh figs was quite nice. Once completed, the fig flavor blends in very well with the rest of the cake and creates a dessert that is flavorful but not overly rich. Fig Crème Fraîche Cake Makes a 9" cake Ingredients: 1/2 pound figs, quartered (if you have big figs, maybe 6-8 slices) 120 grams cake flour 50 grams almond flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 50 grams sugar 60 grams honey 120 grams crème fraîche 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier 1/2 cup melted butter Directions: In a bowl, sift in the dry ingredients (cake flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt).
